What will I be when I grow up?
Children and teenagers alike love to dream about their future, often asking “What will I be when I grow up?” We take educational principles and apply them to issues students find themselves facing once they’ve become a part of the “real world.” For example, what better way to drive home mathematical principles than to ask students to determine their desired standard of living and then research the necessary salary to provide that vision? Not only can they explore math but they learn how to research careers and how to examine their dreams through a realistic lens. And don’t worry – Global/Local Applications definitely encourages students to reach for their dreams and that quality of life means much more than money can buy.
